SYDNEY (NS) – SEPTEMBER 20, 2010 – John Lynn, Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation (ECBC) today paid tribute to well-known Cape Breton entrepreneur and philanthropist, Irving Schwartz who passed away on
September 18, 2010.
“Cape Breton Island has not only lost a pillar of its business community but also a true champion of the Island’s people and economic potential,” said Mr. Lynn. “Through his numerous business, community and international humanitarian endeavours and as a mentor to many aspiring entrepreneurs, his life’s work leaves an indelible mark on the economic and social fabric of Cape Breton Island and Nova Scotia. On behalf of ECBC, I offer my sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.”
